Calgary joins international centres around the world in bringing together its first-ever PechaKucha Night.
Devised and shared by Klein Dytham Architecture in 2003 as a place for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public, PechaKucha Night is now taking place in 221 cities around the world. The format is simple: speakers present 20 slides each, for 20 seconds per slide.
Calgary Arts Development's first PechaKucha Night will bring together a dynamic list of cultural space creators including Artscape Toronto's President and CEO Tim Jones, and Toronto Brickworks chief architect and partner with du Toit Allsopp Hillier / du Toit Architects Limited, Joe Lobko.
Doors at 6:30pm, 7:00pm start.
The Velvet Restaurant and Bar at Theatre Junction GRAND will be open for full service during this event.
