About First Thursdays
First Thursdays are Calgary’s monthly cultural crawl and are presented by the Cultural District. On the first Thursday of every month, arts organizations, attractions, hotels and restaurants in the Cultural District stay open late and offer special programming, deals and events. Starting as early as breakfast and going as late as 2 am, the majority of events are offered after 5 pm.
There’s so much to do - join a free historical walking tour of Calgary’s downtown, check out the work of over 50 artists at Art Central, attend one of many art and theatre openings or visit one of the District restaurants for drinks or dinner. With access to theatre, live music, and great bars and restaurants all within a few blocks, the Cultural District is the place to come to experience Calgary’s arts and culture scene.
