Restoration: a silent art auction for the rebuilding of Haiti at Resolution Gallery

This month we are very excited to present a benefit art auction to aid Haiti: 100% of the proceeds are going to the Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity's rebuilding efforts in Haiti. The auction is the result of over 30 talented local artists stepping up to donate work.  Though the media's attention has begun to turn elsewhere, we hope that this event will remind Calgarians that Haiti's need is still tremendous, with so many Haitians still homeless, and storm season fast approaching. The clean-up and rebuilding as a result of the January earthquake will be a dominant issue for many years to come.  Our hope is to see the nation rebuilt and restored for its people.  The Restoration auction is a great way to purchase artwork by our local artists while giving your support to a nation yet in need.

The opening reception will be held on March 12, with many of the artists in attendance. We will be hosting a wine and cheese from 2 - 10pm at the gallery...come and view the inspired artwork, mingle, and perhaps place a bid on your favourite piece, all for a great cause! Minimum bids start at an incredibly modest range, from about $25 to $300 depending on the piece.
