Event Description:
TRUCK Contemporary Art presents:
The Museum of Bow
SHOWCASING WORK BY
Lewis & Taggart (Bergen, Norway)
The Museum of Bow utilizes TRUCK’s Contemporary Art Public Exhibition Rig (CAMPER) as a ready-made support system. Through collecting and re-working found stories and materials characterized by their relationship to the Bow River, the artists will create a temporary public site for exploration and wonder. Lewis & Taggart will display a series of artifacts, text panels, images, recorded sound, and a small publication to pay homage to the river and its stories. Through the project CAMPER acts as a bridge to connect the river and city, fostering new perspectives and connections.
Dates: Residency: July 6, to July 26, 2010
Public Participation in Exhibition: July 21, to July 25, 2010
Reception: Thursday, July 21, 2010
Where: Due to the nature of CAMPER as an off-site presentation space, details around dates and locations of our activities may be subject to change.
For the most up-to-date information about any of our CAMPER activities, please visit Truck.ca.
The residency and reception will be open to the public. Attendance is free.
