Lizt Alfonso’s Dance Cuba sets the stage aflame at EPCOR CENTRE 
This is the performance that’s making waves around the globe – and putting Cuban dance on the international map. On Friday, March 26 at 8 PM, EPCOR CENTRE presents Lizt Alfonso’s Dance Cuba— the scorching finale to BD&P’s 2009/10 World Music Series!  
Dance Cuba is a performance like no other; 17 stunningly beautiful dancers, moving with intricate precision and grace to blisteringly hot Latin grooves. Dancer-choreographer Lizt Alfonso was inspired to create this sensual, provocative and totally unique experience, drawing from the rapidly clacking heels of the flamenco, the flowing movements of classical ballet and the hot passion of Afro-Cuban dance.  
Dance Cuba brings the pounding, driving excitement of Riverdance— but with a shot of Cuban rum, a breath of fiery Latino passion, and stunningly beautiful women in rapturously sensual costumes. Accompanied by an on-stage ensemble of remarkable musicians, Lizt Alfonso’s Dance Cuba is exciting, riveting— and highly sensual.

EPCOR CENTRE’S BD&P WORLD MUSIC SERIES presents a celebration of global rhythms and cultural vibrancy, throwing open a window to the sounds of the world. This series is a reflection of the richness and diversity of cultures in Canada and encourages artists to collaborate, share music and interact with audiences in Calgary’s world renowned Jack Singer Concert Hall at the EPCOR CENTRE for the Performing Arts.
