Event Description:

TRUCK Contemporary Art presents:

Inarticulations

SHOWCASING WORK BY

Stephanie Anne Clark (Calgary, AB) and Jan Peacock (Halifax, NS)

Presented in conjunction with the sixth annual Exposure 2010: Calgary-Banff Photography Festival, TRUCK Contemporary Art In Calgary will mount a two-person exhibition entitled Inarticulations, featuring both still and moving images.
Informed by her experiences with the French language, Stephanie Anne Clark explores the semiotic relationship between the linguistic notion of grammatical gender and the symbols of French history through her photographic studies of Paris.
Jan Peacock’s video work performs a particular scrutiny of ‘place’, stepping away from immediate events in order to tease out the sometimes obtuse and often contradictory aims and methods of the ‘authorized search’.
Opening Reception: Friday, February 12 @ 8:00 PM in the Main Space
Artists will be in attendance, and the reception and show will be open to the public. Attendance is free.

Hours: Tuesday - Saturday: 11 am to 5 pm
