The art of Richard Ibghy and Marilou Lemmens focuses on synthesizing modes of expression that combine linguistic, scientific and visual forms of representation. The analysis of various
models and theories allows them to bring together seemingly un-related variables which result in insightful commentaries on the human condition. Horse and Sparrow, the multi-media installation arising from Ibghy and Lemmens’ latest research, maps out the possibilities for a better understanding of economic discourse, theories, and systems and their impacts on human behavior. This current work is a commentary on the geo-political and economic changes which have recently rocked Canada and much of the world. Ibghy and Lemmens have been working collaboratively since 2002.
