Event Description:

As a Canadian non-profit organization, Engineers Without Borders (EWB) is committed to building a world of opportunity for rural Sub-Saharan Africans. EWB partners with on the ground organizations in Burkina Faso, Ghana, Malawi, and Zambia to develop and enact effective, efficient, and innovative solutions to international development issues such as water and sanitation, food production and agricultural methods. The University of Calgary Chapter is a group of passionate students with a strong commitment to fostering global citizenship within Canada by raising awareness of global issues and challenging Canadians to think critically about how their actions can impact developing nations.
Each year our chapter is able to send one or two volunteers overseas to contribute to EWB international development efforts through what is called the Junior Fellowship Program. This year we are hosting a Wine and Cheese Fund-Raiser to contribute to sending two volunteers overseas. We are also hoping that this event will highlight the importance of international development to the Calgary community by presenting Calgarians an opportunity to connect with our chapter and volunteers.
All tickets include snacks and a complimentary glass of wine.
MEMBERS AND INVITED GUESTS ONLY.
