Wednesday, February 3rd:
Luis Tovar, Venezuelan percussionist in collaboration with Adrianne Williams, visual artist: Panel discussion titled "Africa to Americas-Rhythmic Exploration" featuring Tunde Dawodu, Chef Wayne, Sterlings Own and Luis Tovar.
Venue: Arts Learning Centre at Epcor Centre. Time: 6:30 pm-9:30pm. Cost: Free.
Thursday, February 4th:
Youssou Seck, Senegalese musician in collaboration with Adrianne Williams, visual artist. Cheryl Foggo’s presentation of “Reclaiming The Rhythm” a multi-sensory exploration of music, movement and spoken word in repression and reclamation.
Venue: Jack Singer Concert Lobby at Epcor Centre. Time: 7pm-9pm. Cost: Free.
Friday, February 5th:
Tim Williams, Jazz musician with Adrianne Williams, visual artist.

"Africans On Ice" skating party at Olympic Plaza. Skates and helmets are free!

In conjunction with University of Calgary’s March 21 Committee, the first staged reading of "Things Fall Apart".
Venue: Boris Roubakine Recital Hall. Time: 7pm. Cost: free.
Friday, February 26th:
Staged reading of the theatrical adaptation of Chinua Achebe's "Things Fall Apart".

Saturday, February 27th:
The African Caribbean Women Committee presents "Empowerment 2010: Yes She Can".
Venue: Cantos Music Foundation. Time: from 10am-2:30pm. Cost: Free
"Let The Children Come" celebrating the young generation of African descendants, featuring screening of the award winning film "Kirikou and the Sorceress", refreshments, coloring, storytelling, music and arts.

The Black History Month finale features a dance party with the band Cumako (Afro-latino groove) and Maximum Force (Reggae rhythm).
