Filmmakers in Calgary have the opportunity to flex their creativity in the Calgary Super8 Filmmakers Challenge. The Challenge's participants must make an original short film that includes a set of specific criteria jointly determined by the filmmakers and the organizers of the Challenge.
All of the filmmakers must incorporate a predetermined theme (fairy tale/fable), character (fisherman), technical requirement (slow motion and scene without cuts) and random element (someone gets poked in the eye) into their works. The finished films are then screened at The Distillery on February 25th.
